Paperstone Solid Surface
Paperstone is made from cellulose fiber and a non-petroleum phenolic resin, creating a durable, beautiful, environmentally sound solid surface. Paperstone is available in three collections: Original (100% post-consumer recycled cardboard), Certified (100% post-consumer recycled, FSC Certified paper) and Virgin (made from virgin paper, and including only the Leather Color).
Refuge stocks two products from the Paperstone Original collection: 1” thick Slate (black) and Mocha (brown). These stock items are available in either of the standard widths, and any length up to 12’ in full foot increments.
Slab widths: 30’ or 5’
Slab lengths: 8’, 10’ or 12’
Slab thicknesses: 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2”, 3/4”, 1”, or 1-1/4”

About the Manufacturer
Paneltech International, makers of Paperstone products, is committed to the cleanest and greenest products and processes technically and economically possible. Paneltech uses their proprietary resin in all of the Paperstone products. This non-petroleum phenolic resin is based on cashew nut shell extract. The source of paper for the company’s Certified product is Grays Harbor Paper Company, a small, independent paper mill that is located adjacent to where PaperStone is made near Hoquiam, WA. Both Grays Harbor Paper Company and Paneltech International, LLC (the makers of PaperStone) are chain-of-custody companies, certified by the Smartwood program of the RainForest Alliance to Forest Stewardship Council standards.
