Tung oil, also sometimes called China wood oil, is made from the pressed seed of the tung tree nut. It is a tough and water resistant natural, penetrating oil that will not noticeably darken with age. Tung oil can be used on kitchen tables, chopping blocks, wood and concrete counter tops, wood and concrete floors, and wooden furniture for a hard, beautiful hand-rubbed finish. Pure tung oil is considered safe for food contact surfaces by the FDA. This product is not thinned and contains no petroleum distillates.
